New Year's Celebration Guachala's Style
We invite you to celebrate with us the farewell of the year 2005, and the welcoming of the New Year in the oldest hacienda of Ecuador, Guachalá. During our celebration we would like to relive the past and the old traditions of the region, and we would love for you to be part of it. At midnight we will toast to the new year with champagne, grapes and fresh fruit.
we will celebrate the New Year 2006 with typical Ecuatorian firework displays. We will dance with the best "banda de pueblo," San Pedro de Cayambe. There will also be a big bonfire, we will burn the "Año Viejo*," and we invite you to bring yours too.

Appetizer:Chicken Soup al Jerez or Smoked Ham
Main Course: Turkey seasoned with fine herbs, baked slowly in a firewood oven; salad with corn, celery, apple and potatoes; and a delicious rice with raisins.
Dessert: Tiramisú or a Chocolate Crepe with Nuts
Beverages: House Wine
For New Year's Day, 2006, we will have breakfast and lunch buffet style.
Total price per person, including one night stay, dinner, and the party celebration is $45.00 + taxes.

*To burn an "Año Viejo" is a old tradition in Ecuador. People make an effigy to burn at midnight as a symbolic way of getting rid of all the negative things that passed during the year, to start afresh in the new year.
